Scholarships Announced for Summer

Alane Thomson LaMee Endowment Scholarship: Ten $800 scholarships for new or continuing students who will enroll for at least six semester hours in an associate degree program during the semester for which the scholarships are sought. Applicants must have a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA, demonstrate financial need and be a resident of Volusia or Flagler County (provide copy of voter registration card or driver's license). Preference will be given to displaced homemakers.

Amy Euliss Campbell Memorial Endowment Scholarship: Two $800 scholarships for a new or continuing student who will enroll for at least six semester hours in the Photography program during the semester for which the scholarship is sought. Applicants must have a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA and demonstrate financial need.

Annie T. Dixon Endowment Scholarship: Three $1000 scholarships for a new or continuing student who will enroll for at least six semester hours in an occupational/technical degree program or certificate program during the semester for which the scholarships are sought. Applicants must have a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA.

Bill and Georgia Akers Bachelor's Degree Scholarship: One $500 scholarships for new or continuing students who will enroll in the BAS program and take a minimum of 3 credit hours in level 3000 and above BAS courses in the semesters for which the scholarship is sought. 

Bill Chappell Memorial Endowment Scholarship: One $800 scholarship for a new or continuing student who will enroll for at least six semester hours during the semester for which the scholarships are sought. Applicants must have a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA and demonstrate financial need.

Bill Gordon Automotive Scholarship: One $850 scholarship for a new or continuing student who will enroll for at least twelve semester hours in an automotive program during the semester for which the scholarship is sought. Applicants must maintain satisfactory progress toward completion and demonstrate financial need.

Clark Properties Scholarship: One $500 scholarships for new or continuing students. Scholarship must be enrolled for at least 6 semester hours in a BAS degree program at Daytona State during the semester for which the scholarship is sought. Scholarship rescipient maust be a resident of Volusia or Flagler County. Scholarship recipient must maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA and be making satisfactory progress towards program completion.

Cox, Lois S Scholarship: Four $500 scholarships for a new or continuing student who will enroll in the semester for which the scholarships are sought. Applicants must have a minum cumulative 2.5 GPA; demonstrate financial need.

Dana Rodman Tiffany Scholarship:  One $800 scholarship.  Recipient must be a continuing student.  Must be a non-traditional student who has returned to college to complete his or her education.  Scholarship recipient must have completed at least six semester hours prior to the semester for which the scholarship is sought.  Scholarship recipient must be enrolled for at least six semester hours at DSC during the semester for which the scholarship is sought.  Scholarship recipient must maintain a minimum of 3.0 GPA. 

David W. Goddard Scholarship:  Seven $800 scholarships for new or continuing students who will enroll for at least twelve semester hours in a health-related program during the semester for which the scholarship is sought.  Applicants must have a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA and demonstrate financial need.

Daytona Beach Builders Exchange Endowment:  Two $800 scholarships for new or continuing students who will enroll for at least twelve semester hours in the Associate Degree Architectural and Building Technology program during the semester for which the scholarship is sought.  Applicants must have a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA and demonstrate financial need.

Daytona Beach Kiwanis Scholarship: Five $500 scholarships.  Applicants who have participated as a Key Club member in High School will have first priority. Scholarship applicant must demonstrate a financial need. Scholarship applicant must be a new student who is enrolled in at least 12 credit hours or be registered as a full time student for the semester in which scholarship is sought.  Must have a minimum of a 3.0 cumulative GPA from their High School. Scholarship applicant must be currently registered and enrolled in classes at Daytona State College. Applicant must be in a degree program. Applicant must be a graduate of Mainland, Seabreeze, Atlantic, Father Lopez or Spruce Creek only. 

Deland Police Dept. Scholarship: One $1000 scholarship for a new or continuing student. Scholarship recipient must have been accepted and be enrolled in the Law Enforcement Recruit Training program at Daytona State in the semester for which the scholarship is sought. Scholarship recipient must be eligible for employment under FDLE guidelines. Scholarship recipient must intend to work for the Deland Police Department for at least three years after program completion. Scholarship may be used for other training at Daytona State as deemed necessary by the Deland Police Department. 

Destin Franklin Low Dental Hygiene Education Transfer Scholarship:  Financial Support for DSC graduates pursuing bachelors or master's degrees.  Recipient must be a graduate of DSC Dental Hygiene program.  Initially, award will be up to $1,000 per recipient and will pay 50% of the tuition for upper level coursework (junior, senior, graduate) generally with course numbers of 3000-6000.

Dr. John H. Staples Memorial Endowment Scholarship:  One $800 scholarship for a new or continuing student who will enroll for at least six semester hours during the semester for which the scholarship is sought. Applicants must have a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA, be a resident of Volusia or Flagler County (provide copy of voter registration card or driver's license), and demonstrate financial need.

Dr. Sam & Janet Burnett Scholarship: Two $1000 scholarships for new and continuing students who have been accepted and enrolled at Daytona State College. Student must have a 2.0 cumulative GPA and maintain a minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA. Scholarship recipient must demonstrate financial need. Preference will be given to students who attend classes on the Flagler Campus.

Daytona State College Culinary Management AAS Scholarships:  Three $500 scholarships for continuing students who will enroll for at least 12 semester hours in the Culinary Management AAS program during the semester for which the scholarships are sought.  Applicant must have a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA and demonstrate financial need. 

Early Learning Coalition of Flagler & Volusia Counties Scholarships: Scholarship recipient may be a new or continuing student. Scholarship recipient must enroll for at least 3 credit hours in the CDA, AS-Early Childhood Education, or BAS program at DBCC in the semester for which the scholarship is sought.  Scholarship recipient must be a resident of Flagler or Volusia County.  Scholarship recipient must be employed full-time (working a minimum of 30 hours per week) in the field of early childhood education or a related agency within Flagler or Volusia County (provide written verification from employer).  Scholarship recipient must not be receiving any other federal, state, or private education assistance.  CRITERIA- $250 3-6 CR HOURS AND $500 FOR AT LEAST 6 CR HOURS

East Coast Doll Collectors Guild Scholarship:  Three $800 scholarships for new students who are 2011 graduates of a Volusia or Flagler county high school and will enroll at DSC in the semester for which the scholarship is sought. Applicants must have a minimum cumulative 3.0 high school GPA and demonstrate financial need. Preference will be given to student who is majoring in the Arts (music, drama, theater or dance).

Eddie Lee Taylor Memorial Scholarship:  Two $700 scholarships for a new or continuing student who will enroll for at least twelve semester hours in the Basic Law Enforcement, Criminal Justice or similar programs during the semester that the scholarship is sought. Applicants must maintain satisfactory progress toward program completion, demonstrate financial need and be a Volusia or Flagler county resident (provide copy of voter registration card or driver's license).

Edmund R. & Victoria M. Wirths Endowment Scholarships: Seven $1000 scholarships for new or continuing students who will enroll for at least twelve semester hours during the semester for which the scholarship is sought. Applicants must have a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA and demonstrate financial need. First preference will be given to students in music with emphasis on stringed instruments especially the violin; second preference will be given to students in teaching careers; and third preference will be given to students in medical arts and health-related fields.

Elizabeth Bronson Scholarship:  One $500 scholarship for general aid to DSC students in the nursing program.

Eric & Lillian Lenholt Memorial Scholarship: Three $1000 scholarships for new or continuing students who will enroll for at least 12 semester hours in a health-care-related program at DSC during the semester for which the scholarship is sought. Applicants must have a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA and demonstrate financial need.

Flagler County Collaborative Partnership Scholarship: One $850 scholarship for a new or continuing student who is seeking Child Development Associate (CDA) certification and will enroll in at least six semester hours during the semester for which the scholarship is sought.   Preference will be given to a student who is already working in a childcare facility.  Applicants must have a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA and be a resident of Flagler County (provide copy of voter registration card or driver's license).

Flagler/Palm Coast Scholarship: Two $800 scholarships for a new or continuing student who will enroll for at least six semester hours during the semester for which the scholarship is sought. Applicants must have a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA be a Flagler County resident and demonstrate financial need (provide copy of voter registration card or driver's license).

Fockler Leadership Endowment Scholarship: One $1000 scholarship for a new or continuing student who will enroll for at least 12 credit hours at DSC in the semester for which the scholarship is sought. Applicants must have a minimum 2.0 GPA. Preference given to Manufacturing Technology students. 

Gullet Family Endowment Scholarship: One $800 scholarship for a new or continuing student who will enroll for at least twelve semester hours in Law Enforcement Recruiting Training, Fire Fighting, Fire Science Technology or Emergency Medical Services programs during the semester for which the scholarship is sought. Applicants must have a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA demonstrate financial need and be a resident of Volusia or Flagler county (provide copy of voter registration card or driver's license). Scholarship recipient will receive a copy of the Gullett family biography.

Hal Marchman Endowment For Human Services Scholarship (Full-time): Four $1000 scholarships for new or continuing students who will enroll for at least 12 semester hours in the Human Services program (program codes 2026, 2007, 3512, 3513) during the semester for which the scholarship is sought. Applicants must have a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA and demonstrate financial need. 

Hammock Dunes Club Scholarship: Scholarships of $100 per credit hour, up to a $1200 scholarship for a new or continuing student who will enroll in an AA, AS, AAS, BAS, or certificate program at DSC during the semester for which the scholarship is sought. Applicants must be a current employee of Hammock Dunes Club or an employee dependent (must submit a letter of recommendation from a Hammock Dunes representative). Applicant must be a U.S. citizen, a Florida resident, and maintain a minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA. Scholarship will be awarded over two semesters (up to $1,200 per semester), with exact award amount based on student’s actual tuition, fees, and textbook costs. Scholarship recipient must continue to maintain scholarship criteria to receive subsequent installments.

Hammond Felt Minor Scholarship: One $1,000 scholarship for a continuing student who will enroll in the Physical Therapist Assistant Program. Applicants must have completed 1 semester in the physical therapist assistant program prior to the semester for which the scholarship is sought and enrolled in 12 credit hours during the semester for which the scholarship is sought. Applicants must maintain minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA. Scholarship recipient must demonstrate financial need.  

Harry Leroi Baker Endowment Scholarship: One $750 scholarship in Chemistry, or other Science Majors. First preference to wastewater/water treatment major; next to chemistry major; then to other science majors. Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and demonstrate financial need.

Helping Hands Women's Center Fund: One $200 Scholarship. Recipient may be a new or continuing female student. Recipient must be a graduate of the Fresh State Program. Recipient must be enrolled at DSC for the semester in which the scholarship is sought.  Previous Helping Hands Scholarship recipients are not eligible for subsequent awards.

Henry Okraski Scholarship in Simulation Technology:  One $1800 scholarship ($900 each semester, over 2 consecutive semesters.) For a new or continuing student who will enroll in the DBC simulation technology degree program in the semester for which the scholarship is sought. Applicants must be a Florida resident, have a minimum grade point average of 2.5, and demonstrate some degree of financial need. 

Hispanic American Club of Palm Coast: One $500 scholarship for a new or continuing full-time student. Recipient must be of Hispanic heritage, maintain a 3.0 GPA, US citizen or US legal permanent resident (green card) and demonstrate financial need. Scholarship recipient must have an acceptance letter of admissions from a four year college. Scholarship recipient must submit a 500 word essay on their Hispanic heritage. Recipient must submit two letters of recommendations (not from a family member). Scholarship recipient must advise of any awards and club committees they have served on. Scholarship recipient must apply award to tuition.

Homer V. Bryans Memorial Scholarship: Four $1000 scholarships for new or continuing students who will enroll for at least 12 credit hours in a Nursing program during the semester for which the scholarship is sought. Applicants must have a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA and be a resident of Volusia or Flagler County (provide copy of voter registration card or driver's license). Preference will be given to students who are not receiving financial aid.

Jack Jessee Memorial Scholarship: One $1000 scholarship for a new or continuing student who will enroll for at least six semester hours in the Photographic Technology program at DSC during the semester for which the scholarship is sought. Applicants must express an interest in a career as a photo-journalist and have a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA and demonstrate financial need. Applicants must be a resident of Volusia or Flagler county (provide a copy of voter registration card or driver's license), show a talent for photography and submit a portfolio of their work. Preference will be given to past recipients of this award. 

Jacobs, Hyman/Sadie Fund:  One $800 scholarship for a new or continuing student enrolled in Daytona State College classes during the semester for which the scholarship is sought. Scholarship recipient must have a 2.0 GPA and demonstrate financial need.

James Buddy Davenport Scholarship: One $800 scholarship for a new or continuing student who will enroll in a business or culinary management program at DS during the semester for which the scholarship is sought. Applicants must demonstrate financial need. Preference will be given to single parents (male or female).

James Fentress Scholarship: One $750 scholarships for a full-time student who will enroll for at least twelve semester hours in the AA or AS degree program during the semester for which the scholarship is sought. Applicants must have a minimum “C” high school average and a minimum cumulative 2.5 college GPA for college credit courses and be a Florida resident. Preference will be given to a student in nursing or education programs. Scholarship award may be used for tuition, books and fees.

James Walter Fitts Memorial Endowment Scholarship: One $700 scholarship for a continuing student who will enroll for at least six semester hours in an healthcare related program at DSC during the semester for which the scholarship is sought. Applicants must maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA, be making satisfactory progress towards program completion, demonstrate financial need.

Jeremy Yorke Doliner Endowment Scholarship: One $1000 scholarship for a new or continuing student who will enroll for at least 12 semester hours in an AA, AS or BAS program in the semester for which the scholarship is sought. Applicants must maintain a minimum 3.5 GPA and be a resident of Volusia or Flagler counties. 

John T. Brunson Endowment Scholarship: One $1000 Scholarship for a new or continuing student who will enroll in at least 12 semester hours in a dental program during the semester for which the scholarship is sought. Applicants must have a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA be graduate be a local high school and demonstrate financial need.

June Drulard Endowment Scholarship: Twenty $800 scholarships for new or continuing students who will enroll for at least six semester hours during the semester that the scholarships are sought. Applicants must have a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA and demonstrate financial need. 

Junior League Scholarship Quasi-Endowment: Two $1000 scholarships. Scholarships and programs that support the mission & projects of Junior League. The scholarships purpose is exclusively educational/charitable. The league reaches out to women of all races, religions and national origins who demonstrate an interest in & commitment to volunteerism. 

Kathy Milthorpe Leadership Scholarship:  Two $500 scholarships for a new or continuing student that who enroll in the accounting program at DSC. Scholarship recipient must maintain a GPA 2.5, must be enrolled in the accounting program in the semester in which they apply and demonstrate leadership ability in their essay.  Recipient must First preference is given to someone who is majoring in accounting or finance. Scholarship recipient must have a 2.5 GPA or better. 

Kenneth Hawthorne Memorial Scholarship: One $1000 scholarship for a new or continuing student who will enroll for at least six semester hours at the Flagler/Palm Coast Campus during the semester for which the scholarship is sought. Applicants must have a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA, be a resident of Flagler County (provide copy of voter registration or driver's license) and demonstrate financial need. Scholarship recipient must attend classes at the Flagler/Palm Coast Campus.

Kodak Professional Merit Photo Scholarship:  Three $1000 scholarships which will recognize the best photography major student to encourage them to succeed. Applicants must demonstrate financial need.

Lendell Wade Wyatt Memorial Endowment Scholarship: Two $600 scholarships for a new or continuing student who will be enrolled at DS in the semester for which the assistance is sought. Applicants must be students who have special needs, must be U.S. citizens and must demonstrate financial need. Applicants may be requested to interview with the selection committee. N/A

Lisa Memro Scholarship:  One $500 scholarship for a new or continuing student who will be enrolled at DS in the semester for which the scholarship is sought. Applicants must be a United States citizen and must demonstrate financial need. Preference will be given to students who will enroll in developmental classes. 

Lombardo Family Scholarship:  Recipient must have completed at least 30 credit hours and all developmental classes. Scholarship recipient must maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA and must demonstrate financial need. Award recipients will be selected by a DSC Foundation Scholarship Selection Committee which will include Frank Lombardo. $250 per student enrolled for at least 3 (but no more than 4) credit hours, and $500 per student enrolled for at least 6 credit hours during the semester for which the scholarship will be utilized.  Intent is to cover the cost of tuition and fees. 

Lorraine Genest Memorial Scholarship: Two $750 scholarships for a new or continuing student who will enroll for at least six semester hours during the semester for which the scholarship is sought. Applicants must have a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA, demonstrate financial need and be a resident of Volusia or Flagler County. Scholarship recipient should repay fund at a future date if able.

Marcia N. Higgs Scholarship: Two $750 scholarships will be awarded to a new or continuing student. Scholarships recipient must a US resident with an interest in Spanish related language/studies and must demonstrate financial need, and a cumulative GPA of 2.5. 

Margaret Kingston Scholarship: One $1500 scholarship to a new or continuing student who will enroll full-time during the semester for which the scholarship is sought. Applicant must be enrolled in a teaching program at DS. Applicant must maintain a 2.0 GPA; US citizen and demonstrate financial need. 

Martha G. Moore Practical Nursing Scholarship: Two $1000 scholarships for a new or continuing student who will be enrolled in the Practical Nursing program in the semester for which the scholarship is sought. Applicants must maintain at least a 2.0 GPA, demonstrate financial need and be a resident of Volusia or Flagler County. Scholarship will be awarded over two semesters ($500/semester). 

Mathilda Preu Endowment Scholarships: Two $800 scholarships for new or continuing students who will enroll at DS in the semester for which the scholarship is sought. Applicants must have a minimum 2.0 GPA. 

Max and Ann Madorsky Endowment Scholarship: One $800 scholarship for a new or continuing student who will enroll for at least twelve semester hours in the Hospitality Management program during the semester for which the scholarship is sought. Applicants must have a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA, demonstrate financial need and be a resident of Volusia or Flagler county (provide copy of voter registration card or driver's license).

Medical Education Technology Nursing Scholarship: One $500 scholarship for a continuing student who will have completed at least one semester in a nursing program at Daytona State prior to the semester for which the scholarship is sought. Applicants must be enrolled in a nursing program at DS in the semester for which the scholarship is sought. Applicants’ essays should address the human patient simulator (HPS) and how it has impacted their studies in healthcare.

Mercedes Lopez: One $500 for a new or continuing student  who is an American Indian  from the Oglala Sioux tribe and will enroll at DSC during the semester for which the scholarship is sought. Applicants must provide tribal certificate verifying they are indeed from the Oglala Sioux Tribe. 

MOCI Scholarship (Men of Color): Two $250 Scholarships. Scholarship recipient must a continuing student.  Scholarship recipient must be a member of the MOCI program at DSC.  Scholarship recipient must be male.  Recipient must be African-American or Hispanic.  Scholarship recipient must be enrolled for a minimum of 12 college credits or vocational credit hours at DSC in the semester for which the scholarship is sought.  Scholarship recipient must be a US citizen or permanent resident.  Scholarship recipient must maintain a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA.  Scholarship recipient must demonstrate financial need.

Nissan Auto Scholarship: Two $800 scholarships for a (technical & Industrial) student enrolled in the semester for which the scholarship is sought.  Applicant must demonstrate financial need. 

Noble Watts-Greenlee Music Scholarship: Two $500 scholarship for a new or continuing student who will enroll for at least six semester hours in a art major (or who is seeking a music-related career) during the semester for which the scholarship is sought. Applicants must have a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA, demonstrate financial need, and qualify for the Florida resident tuition rate (provide copy of voter registration card or driver's license).  

Norma Pruden Painting Scholarship: One $1000 scholarships for new or continuing students who will enroll in one of the following two classes: ART 1500C (Painting I) or ART 1501C (Painting II) during the semester for which the scholarships are sought. Applicants must have a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA. 

Norman Neill Johnson Scholarship: One $600 scholarship for a new or continuing student enrolled in a drawing or wood working program in the semester for which the scholarship is sought. Applicants must have a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA.

North Star Scholarships: Two $700 scholarships for continuing students who have completed at least 30 credit hours and will enroll for at least six semester hours in an associate of arts degree program, an associate of science degree program or an associate of applied science degree program during the semester for which the scholarships are sought. Applicants must have a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA demonstrate financial need and be a Florida resident (provide copy of voter registration card or driver's license).

Officer Kevin J. Fischer Memorial Scholarship: Two $600 scholarships for a new or continuing student who will enroll for at least six semester hours in the Basic Law Enforcement Academy during the semester for which the scholarship is sought. Applicants must have a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA and demonstrate financial need.

Palm Coast Community Center Endowment Scholarship: Four $800 scholarships for new or continuing female students who will enroll for at least six semester hours during the semester for which the scholarship is sought. Applicants must be a graduate of Flagler/Palm Coast High School and have a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA and demonstrate financial need. Preference will be given to students who will attend the Flagler/Palm Coast Campus. 

Palm Coast Women's Club Scholarship: One $500 scholarship for a new or continuing female student who will enroll in an AA, AS, AAS, or BAS degree program during the semester for which the scholarship is sought. Applicants must be returning to school aftera lapse in enrollment and a resident of Flagler County (provide copy of voter registration card or driver's license). Applicants must have a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA and demonstrate financial need. Scholarship recipients will be requested to attend a meeting of the Palm Coast Women's Club and/or annual banquet in May. 

Photo Department (A. Robertson) Memorial Endowment Scholarships: One $300 scholarship for new or continuing students who will enroll for at least 12 credit hours in the Photography Technology program at DBC in the semester for which the scholarship is sought.  Applicants must be a Volusia or Flagler County resident, maintain a minimum 2.0 cumulative. GPA, be making satisfactory progress toward program completion, and demonstrate financial need.

Ponce Inlet Women's Club Scholarship: Two $1000 scholarships for a new or continuing student. Student recipient must be enrolled for at least 6 credit hours at Daytona State in the semester for which the scholarship is sought. Scholarship recipient must be working toward a degree or certificate at DS and must maintain satisfactory progress toward program completion. Student must demonstrate financial need. Student must be a returning adult student. 

Rachael R. Davenport Allied Health Scholarship: One $800 scholarship for a new or continuing student who will enroll for at least six semester hours in an allied health program during the semester for which the scholarship is sought. Applicants must demonstrate financial need. Preference will be given to single parents (male or female) and to students in the nursing aide program.

Richard Miller Music Scholarship: One $1,000 scholarship for a new or continuing student who will enroll full-time in a Music program at Daytona State in the semester in which the scholarship is sought. Applicants must maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA. 

Robert F. Grim Sr. Memorial Scholarship: One $500 scholarship for a new or continuing student who has been accepted and enrolled in the Law Enforcement Recruit Training at Daytona State during the semester for which the scholarship is sought. Applicants must be eligible for employment under FDLE guidelines. Applicants' essays must include a statement of need outlining their current financial condition and state reasons for wanting to enter the law enforcement profession.

Sheriff Edwin H. Duff II Scholarship: One $1000 scholarship for a continuing student who has already completed at least 12 college credit hours and will enroll for at least six semester hours in the Criminal Justice program or a law-related business program during the semester for which the scholarship is sought. Applicants must have a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA. 

Smith, Ruth E. Fund: Four $500 scholarships for general aid to DSC students enrolled in the semester for which the scholarship is sought. Student must demonstrate financial need.

Southern States Utilities Endowment Scholarship: Two $800 scholarships for a new or continuing student who will enroll for at least six semester hours during the semester for which the scholarship is sought. Applicants must have a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA and demonstrate financial need.

Stephen Way Memorial Endowment Scholarships: Ten $1000 scholarships for new or continuing students who will enroll for at least twelve semester hours in a business program during the semester for which the scholarship is sought. Applicants must have a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA and must not be eligible for, nor receiving financial aid.

Steve Schildecker BSN Nursing Transfer Scholarship: Four $1000 scholarships for graduate of DSC (any year any health program, accepted at a college or university and be admitted to Bachelor of Science in Nursing program and be enrolled during the semester for which the scholarships are sought. Applicants must maintain satisfactory progress toward program completion and demonstrate financial need.

Steve Schildecker Associate Degree in Nursing ScholarshipsFour $1,000 scholarships for new or continuing students who will enroll in the Nursing (associate degree) program (leading to qualification as a registered nurse) for at least six semester hours during the semester for which the scholarships are sought.  Applicants must have a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA, demonstrate financial need and intend to work in Volusia or Flagler County for a period of two years after completing the program.

Bert Fish/ Steve Schildecker Nursing Scholarship:  Four $1000 scholarships.  Scholarship recipient must be enrolled in a Nursing or Allied Healthcare Program during the semester for which the scholarship is sought.  Scholarship recipient must maintain a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA. Scholarship recipient must demonstrate financial need. Scholarship recipient must intend to work in Volusia or Flagler County for a period of two years after completing the program.

Steve Schildecker Health Information Management:  Two $500 scholarships for new or continuing students who will enroll in the Health Information Management program for at least six semester hours during the semester for which the scholarship is sought.  Applicants must have a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA, demonstrate financial need and intend to work in Volusia or Flagler County for a period of two years after completing the program.

Steve Schildecker Licensed Practical Nursing Two $500 scholarships for new or continuing students who will enroll in the Licensed Practical Nursing program for at least six semester hours during the semester for which the scholarship is sought.  Applicants must have a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA, demonstrate financial need and intend to work in Volusia or Flagler County for a period of two years after completing the program.

Steve Schildecker Medical Assisting Scholarships:  Two $500 scholarships for new or continuing students who will enroll in the Medical Assisting program for at least six semester hours during the semester for which the scholarship is sought.  Applicants must have a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA, demonstrate financial need and intend to work in Volusia or Flagler County for a period of two years after completing the program. 

Steve Schildecker Medical Laboratory Technology Scholarships: Two $500 scholarships for new or continuing students who will enroll in the Medical Laboratory Technology program for at least six semester hours during the semester for which the scholarship is sought.  Applicants must have a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA, demonstrate financial need and intend to work in Volusia or Flagler County for a period of two years after completing the program.

Steve Schildecker Occupational Therapy Assistant Scholarships: Two $500 scholarships for new or continuing students who will enroll in the Occupational Therapy Assistant program for at least six semester hours during the semester for which the scholarship is sought.  Applicants must have a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA, demonstrate financial need and intend to work in Volusia or Flagler County for a period of two years after completing the program.

Steve Schildecker Physical Therapist Assistant Scholarships: Two $500 scholarships for new or continuing students who will enroll in the Physical Therapist Assistant program for at least six semester hours during the semester for which the scholarship is sought.  Applicants must have a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA, demonstrate financial need and intend to work in Volusia or Flagler County for a period of two years after completing the program.

Steve Schildecker Radiography Scholarships: Two $500 scholarships for new or continuing students who will enroll in the Radiography program for at least six semester hours during the semester for which the scholarship is sought.  Applicants must have a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA, demonstrate financial need and intend to work in Volusia or Flagler County for a period of two years after completing the program.

Steve Schildecker Respiratory Care Scholarships: Two $500 scholarships for new or continuing students who will enroll in the Respiratory Care program for at least six semester hours during the semester for which the scholarship is sought.  Applicants must have a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA, demonstrate financial need and intend to work in Volusia or Flagler County for a period of two years after completing the program.

Steve Schildecker Surgical Technology Scholarship: Two $500 scholarships for new or continuing students who will enroll in the Surgical Technology program for at least six semester hours during the semester for which the scholarship is sought.  Applicants must have a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA, demonstrate financial need and intend to work in Volusia or Flagler County for a period of two years after completing the program. 

Surgical Tech Scholarship Fund:  Two $500 scholarship for a new or continuing student who will enroll for at least six semester hours in the Surgical Technology program during the semester for which the scholarship is sought. Applicants must have a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA and demonstrate financial need.

Sweet Adeline Music Scholarship: 1 $350 scholarship to a music student.

Thomas, Margaret & John Crumley Scholarship: Two $350 One $1000 scholarship to a full-time Daytona State student 3.0 or better GPA; demonstrate financial need; planning to transfer to a 4-year institution for Bachelor's degree in Science. Scholarship may be given up to 4 semesters. Amount limited to cost of tuition, fee, books and any other direct educational expense. 

Voiture #294, 40 & 8 Scholarship: One $650 scholarship for a continuing student who has completed at least one semester in a nursing program. Scholarship applicant must be enrolled in a nursing program at DBC during the semester for which the scholarship is sought. Scholarship recipient must maintain at least a 3.0 GPA

Volusia A/ C Contractor Scholarship:   Four $500 for new or continuing students who are enrolled in air conditioning education.  Student must demonstrate financial need and have a 2.0 GPA

Volusia Auxiliary of FL Hospital Flagler Scholarship: One $1000 Scholarship.  Recipient may be a new or continuing student.  Scholarship recipient must be enrolled in a clinical health care program at DSC in the semester for which the scholarship is sought. Scholarship recipient must demonstrate scholastic excellence. Scholarship recipient must demonstrate some degree of financial need.  Scholarship recipient must be a resident of Flagler County. Scholarship recipient must be a citizen of the United States.

Volusia County Medical Scholarship:   One $1,000 scholarship.  Scholarship recipient must have been a resident of Volusia County for a minimum of one year.  Scholarship recipient must have completed a minimum of 25 semester hours. Scholarship recipient must maintain a minimum of nine semester hours during the semester of award. Scholarship recipient must maintain a minimum of 2.7 GPA as evidenced by official transcripts. Scholarship recipient must be enrolled in a health related field. 

Volusia Manufacturers Association Scholarship:  Two $500 scholarships for new or continuing students who will enroll for at least six semester hours in the Machining Vocational Certificate Program, Manufacturing Technology Degree program or the Machine Trades Apprenticeship  program during the semester for which the scholarship is sought. Applicants must have a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA. Scholarship recipients may be requested to attend a meeting or luncheon with Volusia Manufacturers Assoc. Representative

Walter Konak Endowment Scholarships: Five $1000 scholarships for new or continuing students who have already completed at least 30 college credit hours and will enroll for at least six semester hours during the semester for which the scholarship is sought. Applicants must have a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA. 

Women of the Moose-Daytona Chapter 1019 Scholarship: One $1000 scholarship for a new or continuing student who will enroll for at least 12 semester hours in the Emergency Medical Services program during the semester for which the scholarship is sought. Applicants must be a Volusia County resident, have a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA, and demonstrate financial need. Preference will be given to children of Moose Organization members (LOOM or WOTM).
