Joe grew up in Daytona Beach where he enjoyed fishing, golf and playing baseball.

1970 graduate of Mainland High School where he played Baseball and ran Cross Country. Attended Daytona Beach Community College on a Baseball Scholarship; graduating with an Associate of Science degree in Business/Computer Science in 1973 and in 2008 earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.

Professional Experience
Started his professional career with Bellsouth in Daytona Beach. He held various jobs while at Bellsouth starting as a Lineman/Cable Splicer, promoted to New Smyrna Beach as Business Office Supervisor in 1976, promoted to Gainesville as Business Office Manager in 1978, promoted to Director of Corporate Affairs for Levy, Dixie, Gilchrist, Columbia and Taylor Counties in 1984, and in 1988, transferred to Daytona Beach as Director of Bellsouth for Volusia and Flagler Counties where he remained until his retirement after 30 years in 2002.

Joe started his career in healthcare at Halifax Health in 2002 and is currently Director of Halifax Health Foundation/Government Relations.
